Beberapa guru suka memberikan tugas kepada siswa, bila ia tidak ingin merepotkan guru lain. Sayangnya tugas yang diberikan kurang menarik, misalnya mencatat atau membuat resume. Nah, kenapa bapak atau ibu guru mencoba memberi tugas yang sifatnya santai, menarik, tetapi tetap membuat siswa belajar? Diberi tugas dalam bentuk TTS atau teka-teki silang misalnya. Repot membuatnya? Tidak sama sekali. Cukup waktu 10 menit untuk membuat dan 10 menit untuk print TTS maka siswa anda yang ditinggalkan mungkin tidak akan cemberut kepada anda. #1. Sebelum dapat menmbuat TTS dengan software ini, tentu Bapak atau Ibu guru harus mendownloadnya terlebih dahulu. Jangan khawatir, software ini gratis (free) dan ukurannya sangat kecil (hanya 572 kb). Download Free Software EclipseCrossword.

#2. Setelah file exe software gratis ini didownload, maka lanjutkan dengan menginstalnya di komputer Bapak / Ibu guru dengan melakukan double klik (di klik dua kali).
#3. Selanjutnya akan muncul jendela Pop Up Security Warning seperti gambar berikut. Silakan klik Run. Dalam waktu beberapa detik, program EclipseCrossword telah terinstal di komputer/laptop anda dan siap digunakan.

Cara Membuat TTS (Teka-Teka Silang) dengan Software Gratis EclipseCrossword

#1. Buka aplikasi gratis ini dengan mengkliknya pada menu Start --> All Programs --> EclipseCrossword di pojok kiri bawah layar windows anda. Perhatikan gambar berikut.

#2. Akan terbuka program EclipseCrossword dengan tampilan seperti gambar berikut. Pilih I would like to start a new crossword. Lalu klik tombol Next di bagian bawah sebelah kanan. Perhatikan gambar berikut.

  #3. Berikutnya anda akan dialihkan ke halaman berikut (lihat gambar). Silakan pilih Let me create a word list from scratch now, lalu klik tombol Next. Perhatikan gambar berikut.

#4. Akan muncul halaman berikut:

#5. Ketik jawaban yang anda inginkan -->  ketik soal/petunjuk/clue--> klik tombol Add word to list. Ulangi proses ini sampai anda mempunyai semua kata yang anda inginkan masuk di dalam teka-teki silang anda. Tips: Masukkan kata-kata dengan jumlah huruf bervariasi. Gunakan istilah-istilah khusus dalam mata pelajaran yang Bapak/Ibu ajarkan. Tidak ada batasan jumlah kata, tetapi sebaiknya cukup banyak untuk membuat TTS anda terlihat bagus dan rapat (kata-kata saling bersilang).
#6. Setelah anda mengklik tombol Next, maka anda akan dibawa pada jendela Pop Up Save Word List. --> Beri nama file daftar kata anda (dalam ekstensi file  .ewl) --> klik Save. Perhatikan gambar berikut.

#7.Setelah anda menyimpan file berekstensi .ewl tersebut maka aknan muncul kembali halaman program Eclipse Crossword yang meminta anda menamai atau memberi judul Teka-Teka Silang (TTS) anda --> tulis judul/nama TTS anda --> klik tombol Next. Perhatikan gambar berikut.

#8. Setelah itu akan muncul halaman untuk anda menentukan ukuran TTS (teka teki silang). Secara default ukurannya adalah tinggi 25 huruf dan lebar 25 huruf. Tetapi anda dapat menyesuaikannya berdasarkan selera anda. Perhatikan gambar, pada contoh ini saya mengetik 20 x 20. Lalu klik tombol Next.

#9. Akan muncul halaman berikut. (Perhatikan gambar di bawah). Bila dibutuhkan, anda dapat terlebih dulu melakukan pengaturan tambahan melalui menu Option di bawah layar. Lalu klik tombol Next.

#11. Untuk memudahkan pencetakan (print) tugas siswa, saya sarankan anda memilih menu Save as a web page. Lalu pilih Empty grid and clues.
#12. Akan muncul jendela Pop Up untuk anda menyimpan file TTS anda dalam bentuk html file. File html ini dapat anda buka dengan browser Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, dsb. Dari browser inilah anda akan memprint dokumen dan melakukan pengaturan pencetakan dengan mudah.

• Anda dapat membuat file TTS sebagai file interaktif di komputer anda, dapat digunakan dengan bantuan In Focus untuk menampilkannya di layar saat anda mengajar di kelas (pilih menu Interactive with JavaScript).
• Bila anda menguasai sedikit pengaturan html, maka anda dapat menerbitkan TTS anda di blog pribadi anda.

Biography Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later on began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. Later, they moved to Italy and Albert continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1901, the year he gained his diploma, he acquired Swiss citizenship and, as he was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office. In 1905 he obtained his doctor's degree.

During his stay at the Patent Office, and in his spare time, he produced much of his remarkable work and in 1908 he was appointed Privatdozent in Berne. In 1909 he became Professor Extraordinary at Zurich, in 1911 Professor of Theoretical Physics at Prague, returning to Zurich in the following year to fill a similar post. In 1914 he was appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and Professor in the University of Berlin. He became a German citizen in 1914 and remained in Berlin until 1933 when he renounced his citizenship for political reasons and emigrated to America to take the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton*. He became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945.

After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement, he was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined, and he collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Einstein always appeared to have a clear view of the problems of physics and the determination to solve them. He had a strategy of his own and was able to visualize the main stages on the way to his goal. He regarded his major achievements as mere stepping-stones for the next advance.

At the start of his scientific work, Einstein realized the inadequacies of Newtonian mechanics and his special theory of relativity stemmed from an attempt to reconcile the laws of mechanics with the laws of the electromagnetic field. He dealt with classical problems of statistical mechanics and problems in which they were merged with quantum theory: this led to an explanation of the Brownian movement of molecules. He investigated the thermal properties of light with a low radiation density and his observations laid the foundation of the photon theory of light.

In his early days in Berlin, Einstein postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation and in 1916 he published his paper on the general theory of relativity. During this time he also contributed to the problems of the theory of radiation and statistical mechanics.

In the 1920's, Einstein embarked on the construction of unified field theories, although he continued to work on the probabilistic interpretation of quantum theory, and he persevered with this work in America. He contributed to statistical mechanics by his development of the quantum theory of a monatomic gas and he has also accomplished valuable work in connection with atomic transition probabilities and relativistic cosmology.

After his retirement he continued to work towards the unification of the basic concepts of physics, taking the opposite approach, geometrisation, to the majority of physicists.

Einstein's researches are, of course, well chronicled and his more important works include Special Theory of Relativity (1905), Relativity (English translations, 1920 and 1950), General Theory of Relativity (1916), Investigations on Theory of Brownian Movement (1926), and The Evolution of Physics (1938). Among his non-scientific works, About Zionism (1930), Why War? (1933), My Philosophy (1934), and Out of My Later Years (1950) are perhaps the most important.

Albert Einstein received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many European and American universities. During the 1920's he lectured in Europe, America and the Far East and he was awarded Fellowships or Memberships of all the leading scientific academies throughout the world. He gained numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London in 1925, and the Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute in 1935.

Einstein's gifts inevitably resulted in his dwelling much in intellectual solitude and, for relaxation, music played an important part in his life. He married Mileva Maric in 1903 and they had a daughter and two sons; their marriage was dissolved in 1919 and in the same year he married his cousin, Elsa Löwenthal, who died in 1936. He died on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey.

Born December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Pitt grew up in Springfield, Missouri, the eldest of three children in a devoutly Southern Baptist family. His father, Bill Pitt, owned a trucking company and his mother, Jane Pitt, was a family counselor. Pitt originally aspired to be an advertising art director, studying journalism at the University of Missouri. However, the young college student had other quiet aspirations, the product of a childhood love of movies, which finally seemed tangible his last semester at university when he realized, "I can leave." On a whim, Pitt dropped out of college, packed up his Datsun, and headed West to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles, just two credits shy of a college degree.
Pitt told his parents he intended to enroll in the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, but instead spent the next several months driving a limousine—chauffeuring strippers from one bachelor party to the next, delivering refrigerators, and trying to break into the L.A. acting scene. He joined an acting class and, shortly after, accompanied a classmate as her scene partner on an audition with an agent. In a twist of fate, the agent signed Pitt instead of his classmate. After weathering only seven months in Los Angeles, Pitt had secured an agent and regular acting work.
Pitt's first jobs came in television, appearing in episodes of Dallas, the daytime soap Another World, the sitcom Growing Pains, and in 1990's short-lived Fox Television series, Glory Days. In 1989, Pitt played Billy Canton, the drug-addicted pimp of a teenage runaway, played by Juliette Lewis, in the NBC made-for-television movie Too Young to Die.
